Zipping Activity
For any parent, it is a mammoth task to ask children to keep their belongings safe and at their place. Stacking them correctly or even putting them back in their bags or pockets and zipping them close. Zips have been a nightmare for the parents since using them improperly could cause injuries to the children.
Florescent Public School organised a zipping activity for the students of pre-primary. This helps them to learn to use the zippers responsibly. The ability to manage clothing fasteners supports self-dressing skills and fosters independence with kids. In the every day activities, as well as in the occupational therapy world, self-dressing is an important activity of daily living or occupation. The students were taught and practised on the jackets or purses and bags. This enhances Bilateral hand coordination & hand preference, Controlled release skills and Eye-hand coordination.
Florescent Public School aims to create an inclusive environment for all kids and aiming to teach the use of motor skills at a young age to identify any difficulties and promote self-dependence.
