Solo Singing Competition
Singing, the vocal production of musical tones, is so basic to man its origins are long lost in antiquity and predate the development of spoken language. The voice is presumed to be the original musical instrument, and there is no human culture, no matter how remote or isolated, that does not sing.
Florescent Public School organised a singing competition for the students of grade 6 to 8. The students were singing their favourite songs and competing against one another to win the first prize. When children sing, they are using their vocal muscles to produce sound. This helps them to develop the muscles needed for speaking. In addition, singing helps children to develop a good sense of rhythm and pitch, which are important for language development. With appropriately nurturing experiences, singing competency will develop. Almost without exception, everyone has the potential to sing competently and enjoy singing across the lifespan. Bringing together kids with songs, rhymes and actions lets them discover how to interact and connect with others. They develop listening and social skills that will give them self-confidence and better prepare them for school.
Florescent Public School congratulates all the winners and thanks all the participants on showcasing their beautiful talent.
