Poem Recitation
Poem recitation is a time-honored tradition in schools that has been passed down from generation to generation. The act of reciting a poem is more than just reading words on a page. It’s about bringing the words to life and imbuing them with meaning, emotion, and expression.
Pursuant to the above essence Florescent Public School organised a poem recitation for the pre-primary students. The students sang various poems and rhymes to the audience. It brought to life the emotions and imagery of the words and created a connection between the performer and the listeners. Poetry has always been a way for people to express their feelings, ideas, and beliefs. Whether it’s a sonnet, a haiku, or a free verse, poems allow us to delve into the human experience and explore the depths of our emotions. Poem recitation requires students to carefully read and understand the words and rhythms of a poem. This helps them to improve their reading skills, including comprehension and pronunciation. Poem recitation gives students the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. As they become more confident in their ability to recite a poem, they are more likely to participate in other performance-based activities in the future.
Florescent Public School hopes that activities such as these bring students more closer to each other and bring them a step closer to a brighter future.
