Maths Activity

Mathematics provides students with essential mathematical skills and knowledge in algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability. It develops the numeracy capabilities that all students need in their personal, work and civic life, and provides the fundamentals on which mathematical specialties and professional applications of mathematics are built.

Understanding the full effect of mathematics in the live of a student, Florescent Public School organised multiple events for students ranging from grade 1 to grade 10. With different understanding and problem solving skills the early grades of class 1-2-3 were given simple additions and skip counting while including colouring and craft activity to keep students engrossed. While students of class 4-5-6 worked on their place value charts. This helps in developing increasingly sophisticated and refined mathematical understanding and fluency and using arts and craft to make it more appealing. Students of class 7-8 were engrossed in their geometrical activity of interior angles of triangle and on a working model of multiplication respectively. Working on these shows interrelated and interdependent concepts and systems which students apply beyond the classrooms. The higher classes of grade 9-10 were participants to summation of n natural numbers and factorising the quadratic polynomial.

Florescent Public School hopes that all the students would take back some new knowledge to the vast sea they behold. Since these carefully paced, in-depth study of critical skills and concepts are what they would later find to be a building foundation of their future self.
