Holi celebrations are not only limited to homes and communities, but also in schools. Schools across India celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm and joy. This is a time when students forget about their studies and indulge in the joy of colors and happiness. Florescent Public School organised a Holi celebration for the students of pre-primary to grade 8. Teachers explained the history and traditions of Holi to the students, which included the stories of Lord Krishna and Holika. They also educated the students about the precautions to be taken while playing with colors and water. Students of pre-primary made a greeting card wishing their parents a happy holi. The students of grade 1-5 created greeting cards with colourful handprints signifying the festival of colours. Whereas the students of class 6 to class 8 created a greeting card with bonfire or holika on the card. They even performed traditional dances on hindi songs.
