Diwali Celebration
The loud bursts of crackers and colourful lights… out mind flows into the joys of festivities, our nose nostalgic to the smell of tasty sweets. Incense, Indian spice and burning firecrackers are all familiar scents during this time, and these smells become full of special memories for those who celebrate and our eyes gleaming to the sight of our loved ones, the name Diwali pops into our minds.
“Festival of Lights,” the holiday abounds with all manner of colourful light displays in both private homes and at public events. It symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.” Keeping the essence of bringing lights to families, Florescent Public School organised a diwali celebration by paper lantern making for the students of Pre-Primary to Grade 4. The students, very enthusiastically, participated in the celebration by crafting their creativity onto a paper. Making a lanterm, an equipment to shun the darkness away and bring light to the world, the very purpose of Diwali. It is always a treat to see student’s display such effortless creativity and knowledge.
Florescent Public School wishes all its students and teachers the best of Diwali and may this festival eradicate all darkness from your lives and fill it with lights.
