Vasant Panchami
According to one of the famous beliefs, the origin of Basant Panchami festival lies in Aryan period. Aryans came and settled in India, crossing Saraswati River. There was lot of development at that time around the banks of Saraswati River. Hence, Saraswati River began to be associated with fertility and knowledge, and locals began to celebrate this festival.
Vasant Panchami is known as Saraswati Puja in North India. Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, language, music, art, and the force of desire, is worshipped on this day. Yellow clothes are worn by people as a symbolic depiction of mustard flowers. The mustard fields bloom with yellow blossoms at this time of year. Florescent Public School organised a Saraswati Vandana for the students for Grade 1 to Grade 5 to create a holy and enchanting environment and to get a spiritual boost.
