Black and White Day

Colours have often been used to reflect human emotions. They are used in a manner suggesting the reason or intensity of one’s behaviour. Understanding color and its impact isn’t just visual but can increase the recognition.

Florescent Public School had organised a black and white day celebration for its students. White is pure light and black is the absence of light. In many cultures, these two non-colours are associated with life and death rituals. For essential questions about identity, the opposites black and white are often chosen. The students brought white and black craft papers to craft their beautiful imaginations and creativity into animals and birds. They carefully folded and cut the pieces to make animals such as a sheep, a penguin, a polar bear and zebras. Moreover teachers organised creating a chess board on the floor for the children of Pre-primary to play as pawns and enjoy themselves.

Florescent Public School hopes that celebrations like this would involve the students more into their overall development rather than just academic excellency. We hope all the students had a great time today!
